Room Tour @airickuh

Our first baby didn't really have a nursery since we shared a one-bedroom apartment in NYC. With our second baby, I had a lot of "do something for this baby" energy that I put toward turning our office into a nursery.

I knew that I didn't want a particular theme, and although I didn't want it to be uber-girly, I didn't want to fall back on yellow/gray either. I ended up finalizing the color scheme from the wall prints, and focused on blue and orange, with pops of orchid and gold.

Overall the process took about two months and went pretty smoothly. I started with a Pinterest board to track rooms or pieces that inspired me. There are so many great ideas out there, and it takes a bit of discipline to pick a lane and stay true to it, rather than grab a bunch of random cute things and hope they work together.

The most difficult piece to find was the rug - it's so tough to shop online and envision how it will look in the space so we had to buy and return more than once! I also went through a short period of freaking out about whether the wallpaper was too busy for a nursery, but got over it quickly. I really loved brainstorming different ideas and watching the room come to life.
