Waylon's Room Tour- @chrissyjpowers
We wanted his room to be fun and bright but not too cluttered since toys can easily get that way. I get most things basic with black and white and wooden tones to show off his colorful fun toys. His room is definitely one on a budget! His crib is an Oeuf crib found on Craigslist in good condition, rugs and toy storage from Ikea as well and his dresser and sheep skin throw. I found the antler drawer pulls form Anthroplogie and just added them to his basic dresser to make it look more high-end. Both his little chairs where thrifted and spruced up with paint. I love to DIY so I had so much fun being creative in Waylon's room so I've made a lot of things in it like the dip-dyed tassel, framed greeting cards I liked, and DIYed his bedspread too. His bedspread and pillow case are also from Ikea but they didn't have a pattern I liked so I bought some stencils and screen printing paint and made my own. The wooden surf board in the corner was shaped and made by his dad (Sam) out of old redwood and the mobile above it was from Land of Nod. My favorite part of his room is his reading nook with all the books (the books on the wall are vintage finds) and comfy pillows oh and I love the chalkboard wall too since I am mostly the one that draws on it now.
