Room Tour @AmyPigliacampo

When we came across this stunning nursery on Apartment Therapy, we just knew it was one that had to be shared with our readers as well.  Read below for where Amy found inspiration for her daughter, Marlowe's space:

In many ways, this nursery existed in the back of my mind for years...it really echo's the overall style of our home, but in a brighter, more fun color palette with lots of quirky extras. Once I found out we were having a girl, I added a few touches that made it slightly more feminine, dreamcatchers and a bit more pink and orange.  I challenged myself to think outside the box and use as many pieces and accessories that I already owned. The only new pieces that we purchased were the ABC Dresser and the Crib. I looked at every single dresser/changing table option that was available and hated most of them...my husband and I are obsessed with fonts and typography and this seemed to fit into our aesthetic so well. I bought it before I was even pregnant with Marlowe! Kind of a "if you build it, they will come" philosophy. It's from Pottery Barn and it was our biggest splurge. We bought the crib used for $40 to make up for it! I spent a couple of months slowly pulling the room together and it was finished by the time I was 5 months pregnant. I tend to agonize over details; finding the right changing pad was quite the process...many many returns were made before I settled on the Keekaroo. So much baby and kid stuff is overdone and not attractive, but the shelf life of certain items is so short, you really have to be strategic. Overall, it's my favorite styling project to date. Cheerful and sweet without being overly girly or babyish. I'm excited to do it all over again for the next baby!
