During a quiet, early morning nursing her newborn son, owner Amber Thibaut discovered her dream of motherhood had not only fulfilled her desire for family, but emboldened her ambitions as well. After the birth of her eldest son, she explored the endless resources available to care for her baby, and discovered that she was not only thinking of how she could improve upon them for her own family, but for others as well. In the still of a 3am feeding, her maternal heartstrings yearned for further connection with other families seeking the same vision. She realized that motherhood did not need to be mutually exclusive from her identity as a businesswoman, and thus began a journey to find solutions for herself and others.

Combining her love for the ocean, her home of Hawaiʻi and the island lifestyle that raised her, Thibaut founded Coco Moon in 2015 with the desire to bring the art of aloha into the home through stylish, Hawaiʻi-inspired baby products and prints inspired by her own tropical upbringing. From whimsical to cultural and even nostalgic, these treasured designs are both heartfelt and practical for infants and toddlers.

With the abundance of aloha present in Hawaiʻi, Thibaut realized her greatest responsibility was to share it with the culture and community that nurtured her. She acknowledges that aloha is not merely a greeting that can be defined with a simple definition, but lifestyle determined by respect for the world around us and all who inhabit it. For Coco Moon, aloha is a verb that defines the actions to nurture the people and places around us. To express Coco Moon’s gratitude for the beloved community who invests in their mission, the 1% for Hawaiʻi program was established to give 1% of all proceeds to a local charity to continue the theme of aloha as a call to action to give as much as we receive.
