Room Tour @AlmalusPlace
One of the things I enjoyed the most while I was pregnant, was planning Baby G’s nursery. A long time before I actually became pregnant, I bought this Ferm Living pillow. And it later became the inspiration behind the whole nursery: color palette and theme indeed come from this pillow.
I wanted a modern, colorful room, full with little woodland animals: foxes, of course, but also rabbits, deers, hedgehogs… The room already had a big melon wardrobe and some melon shelves.
And I added some blue, gold and yellow hints.
Once I decided theme and color palette, I created a board on Pinterest to collect all of my inspirations. And I must admit it helped me a lot choosing the right objects without going crazy…
Two things were a must have for me: the Charles Eames RAR rocking chair and the Hemnes drawer from Ikea, which I new I wanted to pimp with Anthropologie knobs.
Another thing I had a lot of fun doing was the wall behind the crib, that I decorated with Walls by Mur mini triangles stickers. They gave the room a whole new look!
And then I slowly figured out all other details: I bought something, but I also received a lot of gifts and made some quick and easy DIY!
