A sweet + simple nursery | @ErinAshKelly
When Erin and her family found their dream home 10 months ago and sold their first home in a matter of days, she really struggled with packing up her daughters nursery. It was one of her all-time favorite spaces-- an ethereal light-filled retreated where she rocked, nursed and loved on her firstborn baby the first year of her life. So, after nine months of serious renovations in their new house, the kids' room/nursery was the first room she wanted to feel like home.
The finished space is warm and modern with an organic feel. It's a space designed for their two daughters to retreat, play and grow together. The Stokke Sleepi crib, Oeuf Mini Library and DIY'ed IKEA dresser provide the perfect foundation to showcase their vintage Steiff animals and handmade wooden toys. Some other favorite items include the original fireplace mantel (built in 1915), handmade geometric quilt and DIY'ed beaded pendant light. Erin never imagined a room could match the magic of their first nursery, but her heart has already made space and she loves it all the same!
